SB Dance is dedicated to revealing the alternative side of life. Please join us by considering a pledge starting at $15.

1) Adventures in Dance Circus It's kinda hard to categorize what we do. The work is athletic and based in movement yet not quite dance. It's humorous but in weird, unexpected ways. It's accessible but not mainstream.

2) Place matters SB Dance is the creation shop for a single artist and his team. Living artists make work that's relevant.

3) It is broke so fix it We're advocates of new ways to engage audiences and teach about art.

It boils down to this: We charge $15--$20 per seat and it usually costs $50-$75 per seat to produce a show. Yup, that's why they call it nonprofit. The gap is supported by contributions. SB Dance receives tax dollars from public agencies and generous support from private foundations and individuals. Yet that's not enough.
